Good food, from a home kitchen.

The story so far
I’m Grant, a self-taught home cook, obsessed with great food and local produce. It started with a sourdough loaf. I found myself searching for perfection, pulling recipes apart and learning more from what went wrong than from what went right. That habit stuck. I still want to know why things work, why dough needs time, and what makes great food taste the way it should.
In 2024 I was named UK’s Best Home Pizza Chef. I’m also proud to be an Ooni ambassador. But the food I care about most hasn’t changed. Family favourites full of flavour, local produce cooked simply, the kind of meal that makes an ordinary weeknight feel like an occasion.
By day I work at PixelRain, a visual content studio, so the camera is never far away.
The best bit is still the sharing, round the table, outdoors by the oven, or with family at the end of the day.
Everything I cook comes back to the same idea. Simple food, good ingredients and plenty of flavour, made with a bit of care rather than a lot of fuss. Nothing that needs a professional kitchen, just recipes that work at home and taste like they’re worth the effort.
Food worth
stopping for.
Most of what I make starts as dinner and ends up on camera. I develop the recipe, then film and photograph it. All shot in a real kitchen with real ingredients. Food people want to watch, save and actually cook.
I work from both sides of the camera, a home cook who knows how a recipe behaves, and a filmmaker who knows how to make it look the way it tastes. It’s how the Ooni Cooks series came together, and it’s the same approach I bring to every partnership.
Not every project fits on a kitchen worktop and for bigger campaigns PixelRain will take an idea from a single recipe to a full series. Hero films, photography and a library of social-ready clips, all from one shoot. You get the same person who understands the food, backed by a team that’s spent years making films for food, drink and hospitality brands.
If you make something good for the kitchen, whether that’s an oven, an ingredient or a tool, I’d love to hear from you.

Longer recipe films, pizza nights by the oven and behind the scenes moments that usually end up on the cutting room floor.
It’s where recipes get the time they deserve. Slow-proved doughs, live-fire cooking and the small details that make the difference. Expect plenty of pizza, seasonal cooking with whatever’s good that month, and the odd experiment that doesn’t quite go to plan.
